"A baseball club is part of the
of the city. A game
isn't just an athletic contest.

It's a picnic, a kind of town meeting."
- Michael Burke, NY Yankees President

"People ask me what I do in winter
when there's no baseball. I'll tell you
what I do. I stare out the window and
wait for spring."
Rogers Hornsby

"The game has a cleanness.
If you do a good job, the numbers
say so. You don't have to ask anyone
or play politics. You don't have to wait
for the reviews." - Sandy Koufax

"Kids today are looking for idols,
but sometimes they look too far...
They don't have to look any farther than
their home because those are the people
that love you. They are the real heroes."
--Bobby Bonilla

Play Ball! Tornados Baseball Coming Soon!

Tornados 2004!
Back Row - Coach George, Coach Don,
Coach Nate, Coach Dave, Coach Chris.

Front Rows - The Tornados!

...not to be confused with
these guys or these guys.

Girls Love Tornados Baseball, Too!

The First Tornados Baseball Team

Back in the Summer of '03 a group of parents
listened to their children's plea to play more baseball.

These brave pioneers forged ahead with but a
single bag of spongy safe-T-baseballs,

a set of bases, a couple of bats and a dream...

And access to a screen printing company.

Now, years later the team once known as
"the Niblets" (for about seventeen minutes
before a bunch of Moms decided it wasn't
"cool" - as if they know "cool” - pffftt - and
switched it on jerseys with yellow
letters - NIBLETS...crimony, that would've
been cute)
has become one of the

Crown Jewels of the Twin Cities.

"...note: any similarity in this post
to Ken Burns is completely unintended
and purely coincidental."
